It’s easy to let the color rich, pastoral landscapes by Mary Jane Erard relax and brighten your mood after a long harsh winter. A “must see” exhibit to usher in the spring transition is Mary Jane Erard: A Solo Exhibit on display now through April 16 in the Perrysburg Municipal Building, 201 W. Indiana Ave.
The exhibit contains more than 25 new and recent pastel paintings by the award winning artist, Mary Jane Erard. Her twenty year painting career is filled with accolades too numerous to list. Ms Erard’s paintings have been published numerous times in national magazines and books. She is one of a select few northwest Ohio artists who have been juried into the prestigious Pastel Society of America. Three of Mary Jane’s paintings are published in the book “Best of Pastel Painters”.
Mary Jane Erard’s pastel paintings are distinguished by vibrant color drenched fields of flowers and rural landscapes inspired by her travels throughout the US and Europe. In addition to this exhibit Mary Jane’s paintings can be found in the Collector’s Corner in the Toledo Museum of Art, in the Robin B Gallery in Chicago, as well as Chelsea Borough Home Gallery in Dublin Ohio. All the work in this exhibit are sale priced to commemorate her appreciation to the City of Perrysburg for supporting the value of public art exhibits.
Viewing hours at the Perrysburg Municipal Building are Monday – Friday 8am-4:30pm.
